This article guides you through the process of enabling and configuring your Ok Alone account to use the Monitoring Center Service, ensuring alerts are properly routed to the professional monitoring center for quick emergency response.
What is the Monitoring Center Service?
The Monitoring Center Service is an optional add-on that connects your Ok Alone account to a professional 24/7 monitoring center. This service receives alerts directly from your workers, verifies emergencies, and escalates to emergency responders if needed.
Activate the Monitoring Center Service
-
Contact your Ok Alone representative or email sales@okalone.net to add the Monitoring Center Service to your account.
-
Once activated, you will have new settings available in your Ok Alone dashboard.
Set Up Your Ok Alone Account for Monitoring
After activation, you need to configure several key settings to ensure alerts are sent correctly to the Monitoring Center.
Configure Your Monitoring Region
-
Navigate to Settings > Company Settings in the Ok Alone dashboard.
-
Select the appropriate monitoring center region from the drop-down menu.
This ensures your alerts are routed to the correct monitoring center based on your location.
Add and Configure Workers for Monitoring
To register workers for Monitoring Center Service, the following information must be entered for each worker:
-

-
Valid email address
-
Two assigned monitors (emergency contacts), each with:
-

Each worker must have two valid monitors assigned. These contacts will be notified by the Monitoring Center in case of an emergency.
Make sure each monitor profile includes:
-
Full real name
-
Valid US/Canadian phone number
-
Valid email address
Validate Workers for Monitoring
You can check if workers are valid for Monitoring Center Service in two places:
-
Dashboard Home: Valid workers show an Active tag next to their name.
-
Enhanced Monitoring > Monitoring Center Validation: This page lists all workers and flags any validation issues.
Ensure Location Settings Are Correct
The Monitoring Center requires up-to-date location information for emergency response.
-
By default, the Ok Alone app sends location updates regularly during shifts.
-
Make sure your workers have location services enabled on their devices with appropriate permissions.
View Alerts Sent to the Monitoring Center
-
All alerts routed to the Monitoring Center can be viewed on the Reports & Logs > Alerts page in your dashboard.
