How to Request Help with OK Alone

OK Alone gives you multiple ways to call for assistance—discreetly or hands-free—so you can choose the method that keeps you the safest. Follow the options below to set up and use the help features that work best for you.

 

The In-App Help Button

  1. While on shift, tap the orange HELP button on the home screen.

  2. Confirm on the next screen to send your alert.

Discreet Help Alerts

When you need to summon help without drawing attention, choose one of these discreet methods. Each triggers an immediate alert to your Monitor with your GPS location.

On Android or iPhone: Shake for Help

  1. In the OK Alone Android app, open Settings > Shake for Help .

  2. Enable Shake for Help and choose sensitivity (Low, Medium, High).

  3. While on shift, shake your phone—if you don’t cancel within 10 seconds, an alert is sent

 

On iPhone: Back-Tap Shortcut

  1. Open Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Back Tap.

  2. Select Double Tap or Triple Tap, then choose Ok Alone: Help.

  3. When on shift, tap the back of your iPhone 8 or later to trigger a help alert.

SMS and Phone-Call Alerts

If you can’t access the app, use your phone’s dialer or messaging app to request help:

  1. SMS: Text your Worker ID followed by “HELP” to the Ok Alone number in your contacts.

  2. Phone Call: Call the Ok Alone number, enter your Worker ID, then select option 0 for Help.

Your Monitor is notified just as if you’d used the app.
