Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for the OK Alone App

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your OK Alone account by requiring a one-time code sent via SMS in addition to your PIN.

What Is MFA?

MFA provides an additional login step that verifies the user’s identity using a code sent to their registered phone number. This helps ensure that only authorized users can access the account—even if their PIN becomes compromised.

Key points:

  • MFA is optional for workers.

  • Codes are sent to the primary phone number listed in each worker’s profile.

  • MFA is available for accounts on the Automated Monitoring Plan.

How to Enable MFA

  1. Request Activation

  2. Turn On MFA in Settings

    • After activation, log in to the OK Alone dashboard.

    • Go to Settings > Company Settings.

    • Under App MFA, select Yes.

    • Click Update to save changes.

  3. Verify Worker Phone Numbers

    • MFA codes are sent to the primary phone number on file for each worker.

    • Go to Workers > Edit to confirm that each worker’s phone number is correct and formatted with the appropriate country code (e.g., +1 604 555 1234).

Logging In with MFA

  1. Enter Your PIN

    • Open the OK Alone app and log in as usual with your worker PIN.

  2. Receive Your Code

    • A one-time 6-digit code will be sent by SMS to your primary phone number.

  3. Enter the Code

    • Type the code into the app when prompted to complete your login.

  4. Access Granted

    • You will be taken to the main dashboard of the app.

Important: Ensure your phone is able to receive SMS messages and that your phone number is up to date.

Troubleshooting

  • Didn’t receive the code?

    • Check that your phone has mobile service and can receive SMS messages.

    • Confirm your number is entered correctly in your worker profile.

  • Still having issues?
