Update your Status with a Phone-call

Overview
If you don’t have access to the Ok Alone app, such as when using an older phone, satellite phone, or when there’s no Wi-Fi/data connection, you can still start shifts, check in, request help, and end shifts by calling our automated phone system. Follow the steps below to update your status using a phone call.

1. Calling the Ok Alone Phone System

  1. Open the dialer on your phone.

  2. Call the number for your region (see Section 3).

  3. When prompted, enter your Worker ID using your phone’s keypad.

    • If Ok Alone recognizes your mobile number, you may skip entering your Worker ID.

  4. After entering your Worker ID, you will hear menu options. Choose from the following by pressing the corresponding number:

    • Press 1 – Check In

    • Press 2 – Start Shift

    • Press 3 – End Shift

    • Press 0 – Request Help

  5. Follow any additional prompts until you hear a confirmation message.

2. Understanding Menu Options

  • Check In (Press 1):
Use this during an active shift to record your current status and confirm you are safe.

  • Start Shift (Press 2):
Begin a new shift if you are about to start working alone.

  • End Shift (Press 3):
End your current shift when you have finished working.

  • Request Help (Press 0):
Trigger an immediate help alert if you are in an emergency or need assistance.

  • Leave a Voice Mail:
After choosing any option, you may be prompted to leave a brief voice message for your Monitor. Follow the instructions to record and send your message.
